Ponta da Passagem is one of the most popular sites off Sesimbra, Portugal. Here, divers can find a big canyon full of life. The walls are adorned with yellow sponges, kelp, anemones, and interesting nudibranchs. Look for the cuttlefish, sea bream, and moray eels.
The diving season typically starts in May and ends in October. This is when the water is warmer and the seas are calmer. Expect underwater visibility of about 10 meters/32 feet.
