Description

Middle Reef is a large circular coral formation surrounded by sandy bottom areas, making it ideal for exploration at multiple depths. The site features an impressive array of hard and soft corals, with coral pinnacles, ridges, and drop-offs that provide shelter and hunting grounds for marine life. The north side often experiences slightly stronger currents, offering opportunities for gentle drift diving, while the southern and central areas are more sheltered and perfect for leisurely exploration. Marine Life: Reef fish: angelfish, butterflyfish, parrotfish, and wrasses Larger species: barracuda, trevally, and occasional reef sharks Invertebrates: octopuses, nudibranchs, and cleaner shrimps Turtles and moray eels are frequently spotted Highlights: Vibrant coral gardens with a mix of colors and formations Suitable for photography due to excellent light penetration and visibility Opportunities for night dives, revealing a different set of nocturnal species Recommended For: Divers of all levels, particularly those interested in coral ecosystems and underwater photography.
