Sea turtles are reptiles in the order of the Testudines. There are seven species of sea turtles: loggerhead, green, olive ridley, Kemp's ridley, hawksbill, flatback, and leatherback sea turtles. All but one (flatback) species of sea turtles are listed as endangered and/or threatened under the Endangered Species Act.
