This dive site has been name like so because of the large number of turtles that come here.
Tortugas Reef has a gentle and gradual slope and a depth that goes from 15 to 40 meters. The reef is covered in various types of corals and sponges and the great visibility makes it easily noticeable.
The relatively low current of this reef also makes it excellent for some drift diving.
Besides turtles, divers can also encounter groupers, tarpons, nurse sharks and king crabs.
Divers are expected to be of at least intermediate level for diving this reef.
