Tanjung Besi is located off the northern tip of Perhentian Besar. The site features some large rock formations and a few small caves and swim-throughs.
Due to the strong current that sweeps the area, you can usually find schools of big fish such as trevallies, barracudas, and mullets. Deeper down, you can also spot large groupers.
Soft corals are abundant here. Other marine animals you may spot include sea turtles, giant moray eels, triggerfish, surgeonfish, and Moorish idols.
