“Muka Kampung” means ‘in front of the village” and it is, indeed, located in from of the main village of Bunaken Island. This is a drift dive featuring a drop-off.
Divers can spot bucket-list creatures such as eagle rays, stingrays, Napoleon wrasses, as well as tuna, mandarin fish, nudibranchs, shrimps, crabs, and beautiful coral.
Muka Kampung is reachable by boat and can be dived all year round. The water temperature is around 26 - 30 °C/78 – 86 °F throughout the year. Visibility is great, often in excess of 30 meters/100 feet.
