Maeda Point

Maeda Point is one of the most popular dive sites off Okinawa Island. It’s also known as the “Danger Spot Number Five” because on some days, the diving conditions are pretty rough. So do check the conditions before heading out to sea.

Some of the marine creatures you will encounter here include lionfish, clownfish, batfish, angelfish, parrotfish, triggerfish, barracudas, mackerels, sea snakes, octopuses, and squid.

Depth: 6-18 meters/20-60 feet

Visibility: Around 20 meters/70 feet

Level: Beginners and up

Entry: Shore
