Colombia Shallows is one of the preferred dive sites in Cozumel for beginner divers, as it has an average depth of 12 meters and gentle currents. It is therefore not visited so much by other than novice divers.
Columbia Shallows features numerous pillar corals and a marine life typical for the Cozumel area, with starfish, jacks, turtles (green and hawskbill), barracudas, eagle rays, grunts, snappers, moray eels, groupers and occasional nurse sharks.
The temperature here varies from 23 degrees to 27 degrees Centigrade, according to the season.
