Alma Jane Wreck

Alma Jane is a 30-meter-long ship that used to transport goods around the Philippines and was sunk in 2003 with the help of the Puerto Galera Dive Association (PGDA).

It sank in an upright position, with the deck at 20 meters deep and the bottom at 30 meters.

Before it was sunk the ship was thoroughly cleaned by the potentially dangerous items within it and by debris, so divers can now safely enter it.

The wreck has meanwhile been colonized by corals and several species of fish have found homes here, such as the lionfish and the pipefish.

With an excellent visibility at this dive site, which can reach even 25 meters, divers can spot here snappers, sweetlips, shrimps, groupers, batfish, trevally.

Around the wreck there are sponges, soft corals, gorgonians, which shelter pufferfish, trumpetfish, nudibranchs and frogfish as well.
