Vilamendhoo Thila is a must site thanks to frequent sightings of reef sharks and stingrays. The thila (underwater mountain) has a top reef at 8 meters that gently slopes to more than 30 meters/100 feet on the east side and 25 meters/82 feet on the west side.
The big stuff can be seen in the northern area of the dive site. Manta rays and whale sharks are also seen in this area. Various other species can be observed here, including fusiliers, snappers, jacks, sweetlips, and others.
The area is prone to strong currents and is recommended for experienced divers.
