Uss Vandenberg

One of the most popular dives in the Florida Keys, the USS Vandenberg is the second-largest artificial reef in the world. It is 160 meters/522 feet long and 30 meters/100 feet tall.

At its deepest point, the USS Vandenberg lies at a depth of 50 meters/165 feet, but much of its superstructure can be found at about 15 meters/50 feet below the surface, which makes it accessible to all divers. Tech divers can descend deeper.

The structure is covered with marine flora, corals, and inhabited by numerous fish lie snappers, grunts, angelfish, barracudas, and sea turtles. Reef sharks sometimes make an appearance too.
