The Liberty Wreck is one of the most interesting dive sites in Bali. It lies on a bottom of black sand, 40 meters away from the shore. With the top of the wreck at only 5 meters deep and the bottom at 22 meters deep, and with little to no current, Liberty has something to offer to all levels of divers, including the novice divers.
Liberty sank in 1942 after it was hit by a Japanese torpedo.
The wreck has meanwhile become a healthy and dynamic artificial reef, with numerous species that populate it such as turtles, batfish, sailfin surgeons, parrotfish, nudibranchs, angelfish, scorpionfish, sweetlips.
The visibility here is excellent.
