Yellow Boxfish

The yellow boxfish is a solitary animal that can be found in the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean and in the south eastern Atlantic Ocean, at depths of 1 to 280 m (3-920 feet).
The bright colors on its body are a sign of warning to potential predators. A stressed or injured yellow boxfish will release poisonous proteins from its skin, which can kill any fish in the surrounding waters.
The boxfish is a popular fish in the pet industry, due to its unique shape (which has even ispired the car industry), but can be quite hard to keep alive in an aquarium. It is a slow swimmer and can be easily caught by hand.
