Tunnel And Reef

Dive site in
Improve

The Tunnel And Reef dive site in Malta is made up of large boulders and gullies with a tunnel that leads to a roofless cavern, allowing light to get in. The bottom is covered in small rocks where octopuses hide.

This dive spot features depths of 5 to 18 meters, a visibility of 10 to 30 meters, and mild to none current.

Along with an abundance of soft corals and sponges, you'll see barracudas, mediterranean morays, common octopuses, lionfish, parrotfish, roman eels, and black-faced blennies.

While the site is diveable all year round, the water gets cold (14-17 degrees Celsius/58-63 degrees Fahrenheit) during the winter. The recommended period is May through November, when the water temperature can rise up to 25 degrees Celsius (77 degrees Fahrenheit).

This dive site is also called L'Ahrax and the cave, where we can swim into underwater is Dragonara Cave. Very nice lights at cave. If you are lucky you can see Moray as well.
