Southwest Pinnacle's main attraction is, as the name says, a large pinnacle, one among the seven pinnacles present at this dive site. This dive spot has a depth going from 5 meters to 30 meters. It can be easily enjoyed even by entry-level divers, but it is generally best if divers exploring Southwest Pinnacle are of intermediate level and beyond.
The visibility at Southwest Pinnacle is of at least 10 meters, on average, but in optimal conditions it can reach even 30 meters.
Divers can spot here batfish, boxfish, groupers, snappers, barracudas, nudibranchs, scads, and even whale sharks, which will definitely be the highlight of any diving trip to Ko Tao.
Southwest Pinnacle also has numerous crevices and overhangs where critters always like to hide, therefore being a true treat for macro photographers.
A secret pinnacle can also be explored in the area, but conditions need to be perfect for this to happen.
