Moc-Che

Improve

The Moc Che dive site off Playa del Carmen is a reef reachable by a 10-minute boat ride from the city. It starts at a depth of 7 meters and reaches 30 meters at its deepest.

In the front of the reef, divers will find an abundance of coral formations and near the end of the dive there's a small arch filled with sponges and fish.  After exploring the arch, one can continue to dive in shallower waters.

There's an abundance of aquatic life, including moray eels, lionfish, parrotfish, king crabs, starfish, turtles, and more.

The shallow part is suitable for beginners but if you want to venture into the deep you will need to have the Advanced Open Water certification.
