Batelão is a wreck dive site off Sesimbra. It consists of a small barge that split in two and went underwater to a depth of about 11 meters/36 feet.
Given the shallow depth and limited currents, it’s a great spot for beginner divers. Visibility, however, is not that great.
The wreck is also home to a number of animals, including cuttlefish, red mullets, bream, octopuses, nudibranchs, among others.
