Antilla Wreck

Dive site in
Improve

The Antilla Wreck is one of the most popular and interesting dive sites in Aruba. This 121-meter-long shipwreck is one of the largest in all of the Caribbean. The former cargo ship was scuttled in 1940 and now lies on its port side in Malmok Bay in about 18 meters/60 feet of water.

Corals, orange anemones, and tube sponges have colonized the wreck. Hawksbill sea turtles, lobsters, moray eels, blue tangs, and many other tropical fish can be seen on or around the SS Antilla.

The wreck is also popular for penetration dives. However, continuous damage caused by storms have made the ship unsafe, so be extra careful if you choose to go inside.

Aruba is best dived during the dry season, from April through to November.
