Abu Dabbab

Improve

Abu Dabbab is one of the most popular dive sites in the Red Sea. And this is because it’s one of the few places in the world where you can dive with dugongs, or sea cows. You will also spot green sea turtles and even some guitar sharks if you’re lucky.

The site has six reefs. The topography is varied and includes reefs, tunnels, pinnacles, caves, as well as a small wreck. The shallow waters are full of coral, seagrass, and all sorts of fish – from those mentioned above to butterflyfish, goatfish, scorpionfish, pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefish, and rays of all sizes.

Diving at Abu Dabbab is possible all year round.
