Description

Diving at Burghsluis West is done on the west side of the port. The strong currents at Burghsluis West limit visibility but lead to a high biodiversity. Sepiolas, blennies, nudibranchs, mud sargatia, brittlestar, metridiums and lots of small creatures such as shrimps thrive here. Dive here during low tide and always carry a diving lamp. Experience is required. Burghsluis West is a dive site with quick tidal changes and strong currents. Experience is required. The limited visibility at Burghsluis West shouldn’t hold you back to dive here. There is a lot be seen at close range, including some unusual slug species. Warnings Beware of fishing gear! Boating channel, don't make free ascents. Don't dive here with southern winds, stronger than wind force 4. Don' t dive in or near the harbor. Quick tidal changes with strong currents.
