Tuna is a saltwater fish of the Thunnini tribe. It comprises 15 species of various size, some as long as 4.6m (15ft). The tuna has a sleek body and is among the fastest pelagic fish, reaching speeds of up to 75km/h. This active predator is found in warm seas around the world. It’s a popular game fish, and because of this some species like the southern bluefin tuna are close to extinction.
