sea snail

The sea snail is a marine gostropod mollusc known to be one of the slowest animals on Earth. They inhabit waters ranging from the Arctic deep north to the Antarctic oceans, as well as some of the deepest ocean trenches. The shells of these marine animals are mostly spirally coiled but some have conical shells known as limpets. These shells come in different shapes and sizes, but sea snail are generally very small. The largest of species can reach 91 cm, but some sea snails have shells as small as 1 mm or less.
