Sea anemone

Sea anemones are typically single polyps attached to a hard surface by its base. The polyp features a columnar trunk with an oval disk on its top, which has a ring of tentacles and a central mouth. The tentacles are retractile.
Most sea anemone species cling on to rocks, shells or submerged timber in both deep ocean waters and shallow waters worldwide.
Anemones come in all sorts of colours.
