The rock beauty is an angelfish found on reefs from the western Atlantic Ocean to the northern Gulf of Mexico. They are mostly yellow with the edges of their dorsal fins and anal fins dark blue. They feed primarily on sponges, but may also consume corals, jellyfish, algae, and plankton. Adults can be seen in pairs.
