The redpsotted hawkfish is a ray-finned fish found on coral reefs in the western Atlantic Ocean. It lives at depths ranging from 2 to 46 meters/6.6 t 150 feet and it frequently occupies crevices and small caves.
Its body is oval-shaped, moderately compressed, and has a short and sharp snout. The mouth is moderately large and exhibits a row of canine-like teeth outside of the jaws.
