Red morwong is a species of fish found off southeast Australia and New Zealand’s North Island, from shallow depths up to 55 meters. They are characterized by the small pair of horns in front of their eyes. The upper body has a red to pale brown color. Juveniles are uniformly red, while adults have a silvery/white lower half.
