The map pufferfish is a medium-sized poisonous fish found in the tropical and subtropical waters of the Indo-Pacific.
It's oval-shaped body is not covered with scales. These fish also lack pelvic fins.
This puffer got its name from the map-like patterns on its skin. It has a whitish color with dense network of black, brown or greenish lines.
