The grey angelfish is a species of ray-finned fish found in the Western Atlantic Ocean. It lives over coral and rocky reefs at depths down to 30 meters/98 feet.

These fish are recognized by their disk-shaped, compressed body with a large head and small snout.

They feed mostly on sponges, but also on algae, tunicates, zoantharians, gorgonians, and other organisms. The juveniles act as cleaner fish, consuming the ectoparasites of larger fish.

Often seen in Straits Of Florida
