The gilthead seabream lives in the Mediterranean Sea and the eastern coastal regions of the North Atlantic Ocean, in shallow waters of up to 30 meters deep.This fish reaches around 35 centimeters in length, but it can grow to 70 centimeters and weigh up tp 7,36 kilograms.
It has an oval body, rather deep and compressed, in a silvery grey colour, with a dark band on dorsal fin and the fork and tips of its caudal fin having black edges.
