Ctenactis echinata is a disc coral native to the Indo-Pacific region. It reaches a length of approximately 25 cm/10 in and a width of 10 cm/4 in. The coral's habitat includes reef flats, slopes, and lagoons where it is found at depths of about 20 meters/66 feet.
