The slipper lobster us a species of lobster that lives in the Mediterranean Sea and the eastern Atlantic Ocean. It lives at depths of 4 to 50 meters/13 to 165 feet on muddy or rocky substrates.
The animal can reach up to 16 cm/6.3 in in length and has a reddish-brown color with a dark brown spot in the center of each abdominal somite.
