Bull Ray

Alternative names: Pez Obispo, Pteromylaeus bovinus

The bull ray is a species of large stingray which can be found around the coasts of Europe and Africa. Its name was given because of the shape of its head which is similar to a bull head.
In South Africa the bull ray is sometimes called "duckbill ray" because it has a long, flat, round snout which resembles a duck.
The bull ray is harmless when it comes to humans. If a diver touches it, the bull ray will gracefully swim away.
