Zak’s Table is a dive site located off Taba, Egypt. The interesting part of the dive starts at 16 meters (52 feet), where huge table corals can be seen upon a sandy bottom. The area is teeming with life, with frequent sightings of groupers, moray eels, scorpionfish, sweetlips, and numerous reef fish. Guitar sharks and stingrays have also been spotted here.
The maximum depth you’ll reach at Zak’s Table is 20 meters (66 feet), which makes it suitable for divers of all levels. However, beware of the currents that can get a bit strong sometimes.
The best time to visit Egypt is between October and November, before the busy peak tourist season that starts in December. Nonetheless, diving in Egypt Is possible year-round.
