The Yellowstone Lake is an often overlooked dive site that features archeological artifacts, iliceous hydrothermal spires, and thermal vents.

Located at an altitude of 2,372m (7,783ft) and with a maximum depth of 120m (394ft), it offer some surreal underwater landscapes.

The best time of the year to dive the Yellowstone Lake is July through September. The water temperature is usually 40-50 degrees F (4-10 degrees C) and the visibility poor to moderate (3-5m/10-30ft).
