Veril de Fariones is a nice dive site off Playa Grande and is named after the oldest hotel in Lanzarote - Hotel Fariones. The average depth is 15 meters/49 feet but it goes down to a maximum of 60 meters/197 feet.
It consists of an underwater cliff that is a perfect place to observe several migratory species such as amberjacks, tuna, wahoo, and bonitos. Dolphins, sea turtles, and gigantic rorquals can sometimes be seen here as well. There’s also an area of shallow rocks that are covered with anemones.
Scuba diving is possible year-round, with water temperatures ranging from 18° C/64° F during winter to 26° C/79° F during summer.
