Three Tables Cathedral is actually made up of two parts: Three Tables – three flat rock formations that are lava fingers protruding the ocean – and Cathedrals, a huge cave next to the lava tubes. This is a fun dive thanks to the interesting and diverse topography, with several caves and swim-throughs that divers will surely enjoy.
During the high winter surf period (October to May), a seasonal longshore current may be present at the site. Diving here during this time is not recommended, except for the calmer days.
Some of the marine creatures you can expect to see here include whitetip reef sharks, sea turtles, eagle rays, octopuses, moray eels, parrotfish.
