Tajma Ha Cenote, or Cenote Taj Mahal, is a stunning cenote dive located 5 kilometers from Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo. The cenote is recommended for advanced divers because of the saw-like profile and delicate formations that require good buoyancy.

The cavern features everything you’d want from a cenote - a sharp halocline, fossils, limestone halls, changing water colors, and a light curtain that makes for some great photographs. The dive takes you from the entrance of the Tajma Ha Cenote to an open room beneath an air-filled bat cave. The first 12meters/40 feet are freshwater, then comes a salty halocline. The cavern floor is filled with ancient stalactites. Continuing the dive, divers enter a second cenote known as Sugar Bowl, which offers a spectacular light show.

The maximum depth of the site is about 15 meters/50 feet. Diving at Tajma Ha Cenote is possible year-round, with water temperatures ranging between 23° C/73° F and 26° C/78° F. Visibility is excellent, exceeding 20 meters/66 feet.
