Soyak Island (Pulau Soyak) is located very close to the island of Tioman. This dive site is perfect for beginners and is used for Open Water courses due to its shallow depth and light current.
The reef is beautiful, abounding in a variety of fish such as barracudas, lionfish, and bumphead parrotfish. You may also spot some sea turtles and interesting nudibranchs.
There is also a collection of granite boulders that stand on the sandy bottom at a depth of only 14 meters/46 feet. Hard corals and bommies can be seen growing on these rock formations.
The diving season here typically runs from February to mid-November. Tioman sees its monsoon season from late November to early February, so you may want to avoid this period. However, diving conditions are good throughout the year. Great visibility.
