Siaes Tunnel is one of the most exciting dives Palau has to offer. It is located about 30-40 minutes by speedboat from Koror.
Recommended for experienced divers, the site consists of a huge underwater cavern. Its entrance is located at about 28 meters/80 feet and its bottom is 45 meters/140 feet below the surface. The wall drops to more than 65 meters/200 feet.
The top of the cavern is covered with black coral while its windows are surrounded by sea fans and soft coral. Look for the whitetip reef sharks, stingrays, angelfish, snappers, big-eye jacks, gobies, and shrimps, all of which spend their time along the sandy bottom.
Visibility at Siaes Tunnel is 15 to 40 meters/45-120 feet depending on the tide. The water temperature averages 26-27° C/79-81° F.
