Shoal Bay Reef

Dive site in
Improve

This dive site is an absolute delight for newbie divers. With an average depth of 18 meters, it is really accessible to Open Water divers, but it is interesting enough to attract their more advanced counterparts.

The visibility at Shoal Bay Reef ranges between 10 and 30 meters, which allows for the perfect observation of the diverse marine life, which includes but it is not limited at crayfish, eels, lobsters and southern stingrays.

As far as topography is concerned, the reef has a 5-meter deep plateau followed by a drop-off at 45 degrees. The dive spot has a sandy bottom which can sometimes pose challenges, as divers have to be extra careful so as not to lower the visibility.
