Located off Magawish, Shaab Petra consists of two oval-shaped ergs separated by a long coral garden. The ergs are teeming with fish like bannerfish, lionfish, scorpionfish, blue-green chromis, Arabian damsel, and humbug damsel. You can also find hard coral in pristine condition.
The eastern erg offers a huge brain coral and there’s also a small cavern full of glassfish here. The western erg is smooth and sits atop a flat sandy bottom.
The site is 8-15 meters deep and is accessible to divers of all levels.
