Sha'ab Marsa Alam is a beautiful dive site located just a few km from the town of Marsa Alam. The fairly long reef offers an array of different dives. The shallow depth, which averages 20-30 meters/65-100 feet, attracts divers of all levels.
Diving is usually done at the north and south ends. To the west on the central reef tongue, you can find the entrance to some small cavers at just about 5 meters/16 feet.
Some of the marine creatures you can see at Sha'ab Marsa Alam include spinner dolphins, stingrays, sea turtles, snappers, groupers, jacks, bannerfish, scorpionfish, Napoleon wrasses, crocodile fish, and parrotfish.
Diving is possible all year round, with a warm water temperature that ranges from 26° to 30° C/78° to 86° F.
