Sampalan is a dive site located off the North coast of Nusa Penida. The marine life includes highlights like Mola molas, sharks, and giant trevallies. Schooling sweetlips, angelfish, triggerfish, bannerfish, and fusiliers can also be spotted here.

The underwater flora is made up of a multitude of soft corals. Sampalan has some of the best table corals in Indonesia and huge barrel corals. The diverse fauna and flora make it one of the most colorful dives in the region.

The depth at Sampalan dive site ranges from 5 to 40 meters (16-131 feet) and a few thermoclines are present in deeper water.
