Sampaguita (or Sampaquita) is a dive site consisting of a wall adorned with different corals, anemones, and sea fans. The wall has some sandy outcrops and overhangs and drops to great depths.
Marine life consists of all sorts of species, from critters to larger fish: pygmy seahorses, batfish, nudibranchs, giant frogfish, clown triggerfish, barracudas, and Hawksbill sea turtles, among others.
The average depth is 5 meters/16 feet and the maximum depth is 50 meters/164 feet. As such, anyone can dive here within the depth limits of their certification.
Sampaguita can be dived all year round, but the best diving conditions are found from March to May. The water temperature warms up at 27° C/81° F. Visibility is excellent, often more than 20 meters/66 feet.
