Renggis Island is a shallow dive site reachable from Tioman. It has a maximum depth of about 14 meters (45 feet). The spot features a good variety of hard corals and several wrecks, including wooden fishing trawlers, a rusty bike, and various machinery.

The relatively flat seabed is mostly covered with coral formations like staghorn, brain, plate, tabletop, cabbage, and bommies. Numerous colorful sea sponges like blue tubes and barrel sponges grow in abundance here. Clusters of multi-colored anemones with their resident anemonefish hiding inside offer a visual feast for the eyes.

Blacktip reef sharks, nurse sharks, blue-spotted manta rays, moray eels, angelfish, Hawksbill turtles, greenback turtles, gold-band fusiliers, emperors, triggerfish, butterflyfish, breams, parrotfish, scorpionfish, yellow-striped snappers, zebra lionfish, and different species of wrasses are abundant at Renggis Island dive site.

Although currents are present, they’re typically mild. Visibility is good – at least 10 meters (33 feet) but can go up to 30 meters (100 feet). The best diving conditions are found from February to March, but it is possible to enjoy a great dive throughout the year.
