Ras Umm Sid is one of the most beloved dive sites of the Red Sea. Located opposite Royal Paradise Resort in Sharm El Sheikh, it is often dived as a drift dive. The dive starts with a steep wall at 8 meters/26 feet full of gorgonians, then turns into a large plateau. It is here, at this plateau, that one may spot large pelagics swimming by. During the summer, this site is a great place for spotting hammerheads, whitetip reef sharks, and whale sharks.
