Ras Abu Helal is a dive site located south of Canyon, in Dahab. It is also known as Little Canyon. The name “Ras Abu Helal” translates as “Headland of the Crescent Moon,” as the reef south of Abu Talha is crescent-shaped.

The site can only be dived at high tide when the sea is calm. This also means that it is less dived than other sites and as such, the reef is in a better condition than others.

The start of the ridge features one of the most beautiful coral gardens in Dahab, while at the end of the ridge you can find a deeper canyon down to 40 meters/130 feet.

Marine life includes animals like sea turtles, groupers, yellowtail barracudas, pufferfish, unicornfish, wrasses, triggerfish, and lionfish.

Ras Abu Helal is suitable for advanced and tech divers.
