Qawra Point is a dive site on the northeast coast of Malta. The spot has a maximum depth of 35 meters (115 feet) and an average depth of 5 meters (16 feet), making it perfect for beginners. Areas of seagrass and gullies can be seen in shallow depth, while more advanced divers can follow the reef to a depth of about 28 meters (92 feet) where beautiful sponges and an abundance of marine animals can be seen.
Octopuses, tunas, anemones, cardinalfish, sea hares, seahorses, crabs, shrimps, cuttlefish, and saddled breams are among the marine life you can encounter here.
Qawra Point can be dived year-round, but the best water temperatures can be found in the summer, peaking at about 26° C/79° F in August. During the winter months, the water temperatures drop to 15° C/59° F.
The average visibility at Qawra Point is 25 meters (82 feet) but it can reach 40 meters (131 feet).
