Punta Negra is a beautiful reef dive site located along Bahia Mujeres. It features stunning corals, sea sponges, sea fans, and plenty of fish life. It’s a shallow spot with a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet, which makes it suitable for divers of all levels.
Some of the creatures you can see here include basking sharks, bull sharks, amberjacks, snappers, angelfish, pufferfish, lionfish, stonefish, sea turtles, crabs, among others.
Diving is possible all year long with water temperatures varying from 25° C/75° F to 29° C/84° F. Visibility is excellent.
