Pelagosa Wreck

Improve

Pelagosa was a coastal cruise steamship built in Trieste in 1898. During the First World War, the ship was hired for various tasks, the last being to patrol the area south of Susak, Croatia, to disperse enemy submarines.

On 12th February 1918, the Pelagosa was struck by a torpedo, splitting the bow and creating several holes. It eventually sunk and now lies at a depth of 52 meters/170 feet in an upright position.

Because of its depth, the Pelagosa wreck can only be attempted by technical divers using a rebreather.
